Like most unfortunate souls that roamed the streets of Dalmasca, Vyncent's childhood was one of misery, having been conceived from SA, lost his mother at the age of 8, and spending the next few years in an abusive orphanage. He had almost nothing to his name, with the exception of a reaper crystal handed to him by his mother just days before her passing. This gift alone, along with the various stories his mother told him of her ventures, were enough to motivate him to pursue a path of his own, even by his lonesome.Over the course of his life, he would learn to steal, cheat, and sometimes even gamble when in a tight situation. When the time was right and was of suitable age, he would swallow his pride and hatred for Garleans, and join the Empire as a low ranking conscript, though not without paying his due respects to his Guardian at the time, murdering them in the dead of night and hanging them for all to see right outside of the orphanage.At the age of 19, he would learn that he had a fondness for technology and magitek, both of which he would educate himself of and would eventually use to prove his worth. Because of his mixed heritage however, he was placed a rather lesser squadron, or what some could describe as a "Suicide Squadron" given the nearly impossible tasks given to them. Though he never got the role of leader, it was most often the brains of each operation, utilizing his intelligence to the fullest as means to survive, and in hopes of escaping the Empire's clutches someday.And this chance would be given to him, as he would fake his death around the time of the 7th Calamity, and fled to Limsa, murdering one of the last remaining pirates in La Noscea, and taking their ship and belongings. Starting his life over as a pirate, he would adjust to his new life of crime, stealing and plundering from others, while lending a hand to the Eorzean Alliance anonymously if it meant sabotaging the Garlean Empire.In that time, the man had to endure the Seventh Hell and back, having a run in with voidsent in one of his jobs, and in a life-or-death conflict, became void-tainted as a dire consequence. The following years had twisted the man's conscience, giving in to the carnal desires of all voidsent and targeting sufficient men and women with plenty of aether for him to feast on, his condition getting worse and worse, and Vyncent, beginning to hate himself more and more, up until he had found the source of his woes: Rubicante.He wasn't sure why he made this decision, a very rare occasion of doing good for once, just for the sake of ridding the realm of a potential threat like Zenos. Or maybe he just hated voidsent that much. He would face this threat head on alone, a grueling battle just like when they had first ran into one another in Eorzea, with Vyncent being outmatched, but his sheer willpower and desire to be cured of his curse pulling him through. The fight persisted for an entire day, his voidtaint having even been absorbed by his opponent, having been robbed of his abilities until by sheer luck that Vyncent brought the fiend down to his knees, and proceeded to brutally decapitate them, not even stopping to listen to what Rubicante had intended to say. It didn't matter, Vyncent, was finally free.With his soul cured of void taint, his access to magic and aether as a whole were gone, and the wounds his sustained would not heal on their own, causing him to pass out from blood loss once his adrenaline had depleted. He would awake eventually awake with his wounds treated, but he himself imprisoned within a cell. Though his mind would never recover from 7 years worth of suffering, he was able to think straight for the first time in the present day. Hell, he smiled genuinely for the first time in a decade.Returning to his escapist/scoundrel ways, the scoundrel made his way out with aid of an old ally who heard of his whereabouts. Though he is no good man by any means, his targets have mostly become those who deserved it most, such as those working under that of the Uldahn Syndicate. Finding that living for oneself only brings more dread and suffering, the Hyur would start anew once more, seeking out friends and allies alike, as means of living life to the fullest.

Story So Far:Having recently met the famed Giovanna Daswilfkoen, Vyncent is now under the protection of the Wolf King, however in exchange, serves as her eyes and ears on the field while observing and experimenting with anomalies, and even on rare occassion teaching classes on Magitek, revealing a keen interest in forging all sorts of weapons, rather than just firearms and gunblades alone. In the span two months his life had developed meaning beyond senseless killing just to survive. For once, he learned what it meant to be at peace, at least-just temporarily.
